Frequently Asked Questions

My new flanges won’t screw all the way down?

This can happen if the tap assembly is sitting slightly too high. Simply loosen the tap body locknut above the basin, gently push the assembly down, and re-tighten the locknut underneath the basin.

This usually means the O-rings on your breech need replacing. Simply remove the spout and replace the O-rings with the new ones supplied in your EZYFIX basin set to restore a proper seal.

If the leak continues after replacing the O-rings, it may require a slightly thicker seal. Give our team a call and we can arrange to send you a set of extra-thick O-rings to help resolve the issue.

This usually means the spindle isn’t extending far enough from the wall. You can add extra fibre washers to the base of the spindle to bring it out slightly, or use PVC spindle extensions to give you the extra length needed for the flange to screw on properly.

If the flange still won’t screw on after adjusting the spindle length, you may need to install a set of brass spindle extensions. These provide additional reach, allowing the flange to screw on securely and sit flush against the wall.

If the leak continues after installing your new taps, the valve seat inside the tap body may be worn or uneven. In this case, using a tap re-seating kit can help smooth the surface and create a proper seal for the new tap washers.
