If your tap start leaking, then the first step is to remove the existing cartridge and check the tap seat. If you notice marks, cracks or pin holes then you may need to reseat your taps. This can easily be done with a tap reseater tool which are available from all leading hardware stores for around the $15 mark. Once reseated then re-install your cartridge and test for leaks.
If the tap set is still leaking then you may need to order this pair of 3/4 turn ceramic disc cartridges.
IMPORTANTLY: These are Mk2 versions which are currently used in the Mk2 series of EZYFIX modern lever tapware from 2014 onward to present day. They can be identified by the red and blue soft rubber washers visible on the base of the cartridges. The original series had hard white nylon washers at the base and the two different series are not interchangeable due to a difference in the handle fixing system so it is important to order the correct series.

This kit will adapt to the existing breech piece in your bathroom basin. It comprises of a 1/2" spout adaptor which has had it's internal diamter machined out so as to fit perfectly over your existing 5/8" breech, bridging or basin tee piece. This now means you can use the supplied 1/2" inch spoutl locknut to secure your new EZYFIX spout to the basin. Importantly a thicker o-ring is also included in the kit which we recomend you use to replace the existing o-ring on your old breech piece as it is likely to have perished over the years.
This kit therefore eliminates the need to source an old 5/8" locknut which is great news as we have found them near on impossible to source.
This specially machined component screws straight into the base of our EZYFIX basin spouts. See below for full installaion instructions and as always if you have any questions please contact us.
INSTALLATION
Apply teflon tape to the shorter end of the threaded adaptor and screw this end into the spout.
Slide the locknut over your existing nib of your old tapwares breech piece.
Push the new spout assembly onto the existing nipple, using a small amount of soapy water or cooking oil for lubrication. Finally, tighten the new spout assembly to the sink/basin using the plastic spout fixing nut
Turn taps on to test that the spout has sealed.
If the spout leaks then you will need to remove the spout and replace the o-ring on the breech piece nib with the o-ring supplied in this kit.
The EZYFIX tough tube spanner is made from 3mm thick steel. This is one kit that will not twist, bend or round out like the cheap ones you find in most hardware stores. The sizes covered are:
21mm + 22mm - Suits early Dorf, Caroma and Raymor
24mm + SQ25mm - Suits Donson and early Raymor
22mm +29mm - Large end suits in-wall extender kits
If you are unable to screw the flanges onto the thread of your new EZYFIX classic tapware then there is a good chance that it is because your plumbing is deeply recessed. Sometimes this can occur in older buildings where new adhesive has been applied on top of old rendering work, resulting in a thicker wall material being present between your tile surface and the tap seat in your walls. Our EZYFIX Classic styled tapware is supplied with black PVC thread extenders which often overcome this problem. When they don't then this in wall tap seat and spindle extender kit will bring the tap seat 15mm out.
Whilst this kit is designed to only be used with Jumper Valve type tapware we do have another kit that can be used on ceramic disc tapware.
